FIRE SPRINKLER INSPECTOR 

 Currently there are four fire sprinkler inspectors in the Bureau of Fire Prevention. They are responsible for the inspection and testing of new fire sprinkler systems, from underground piping to the overhead finished product. 

These inspection procedures begin with the underground rough-in or visual inspection and hydro tests. From there, the inspection of the aboveground includes a rough-in or visual inspection of piping and heads, a hydro test of the system, and 
a final walk-through inspection. City ordinance requires that inspections be scheduled at least 72 hours in advance.
